The Sober Club is OPEN!

Sober Curious? Ditched the booze a while ago?

Do you now want to focus on health wellbeing and positivity?

Have you found yourself saying…”I will only have one drink”…but then you finish the bottle!

Maybe you’ve stopped drinking but are still feeling unhealthy, overweight or out of sorts….or you’ve woken up at 3am berating yourself for drinking too much?

The Opposite of Addiction is Connection

My new project is The Sober Club online community. Despite talking about holistic health on BBC Radio 2, writing five books including the number One Amazon bestseller ‘Imperfectly Natural Woman’ and running imperfectlynatural.com, there was one missing piece of the ‘holistic health’ jigsaw for me and that was ditching the booze.

I now encourage people to ask themselves not “Am I drinking too much?” but rather “Would my life be better physically and emotionally without alcohol?” I take a very positive approach and want the focus to be on health and wellbeing, passion and purpose.

In The Sober Club you can connect with others and have open conversations without any judgement. You can learn therapeutic techniques such as EFT (emotional freedom technique), get inspiration and support to make lifestyle changes and discover sober tools and tips.

Come along and learn how to set healthy boundaries around relationships and put yourself first….and much more!

90 day course

In The Sober Club you will get:

  • ‘Get the Buzz Without the Booze’ – 90 Day Online Course
  • Live monthly talks with me, and advice from leading health, wellbeing, and mindset experts.
  • Access to an exclusive Facebook community.
  • Mindset Buzz – Guided meditations, hypnosis audios and relaxation videos.
  • Nutrition and Fitness Buzz – Detox advice, recipes and exercises.

So many people find that once they have removed the Alcohol Obstacle they have a new perspective and want to increase their fitness, their mental wellbeing, set new goals and challenges. In the coming weeks we’ll bring you so many pieces of the Optimum Wellbeing ‘jigsaw’. There will be something for everyone whatever stage you are at. Its all about positivity and moving forward.

If this resonates with you The Sober Club has just opened up and there is not one but two special gifts if you sign up now, see below the hypnosis audio worth £9.99 courtesy of Ailsa Frank and an exclusive audio by Janey Lee Grace – How I stay motivated.

To sign up go to www.thesoberclub.com

I have been alcohol free for over a year and it is no longer part of my life, it feels almost as if I have forgotten about it sometimes (which is great but also a shame not to bask more in the achievement!)   I love the sober club because I get to celebrate everyday with my new “tribe” the amazing “joy” of being sober and gives me a platform (via the FB group) to interact, support, encourage others.   I’m so grateful for the new connection the sober club provides!

Alistair

I’ve finally realized it’s not just about putting down the booze and staying sober, it’s so much more than that! It’s a mindset change, looking at everything as a whole, caring for both my physical and mental health.  The “Sober Club” website is FAB!! I am really enjoying working through the modules in the 90 Day course “Get the Buzz Without the Booze”. All Janey’s podcasts are there to listen to at any time, there is so much expert advice available on nutrition and fitness, and also some great tips on how to take care of, not just my body, but my mind too which I never had before.

untitled 2

And what am I talking about?

Well the title of my talk is ‘Sobriety Rocks’ – Who knew! I’m sure many of you have seen my posts, blogs and events I’m running such as next Monday’s ‘Selfcare for the Sober Curious’ event. I want to encourage people who know or suspect they might feel better physically and emotionally without alcohol in their lives, to recognize that there is a whole new world waiting. I really have been amazed to discover, ( to quote Catherine Gray’s bestselling book title) ‘The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober’.

Of course, I am passionate about holistic living so my take on it all is to inspire people towards mindful drinking or quitting and then focusing on good nutrition, ditching the toxins et al.

I’d love to see you there, or if not, of course you will be able to watch it live online.

Attract Clients on Instagram (How to!)

I Interviewed Inga Deksne recently, she’s a brilliant Instagram expert who can show you how to generate customers AND money using Instagram. I put to Inga a lot of questions that I know many of you have, some of you that currently use Instagram and also from those of you who are reluctant/fearful to get on board with it.

Are you a member of my Facebook group The Media Hub? – if you are not a member then come on over and take a look – it’s where I share and offer occasional press leads.

Instagram is an amazing way to promote your brand so do join my Facebook group for free and catch the video interview and Q&A to get some important tips.

Request to join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/themediahubhostedbyjaney/

Inga’s course is a Masterclass for all things Instagram and right now you get it at just £97 – an incredible price. Here’s what it’s all about:

If you are a business owner who use or want to use Instagram for business you need to understand that growing number of following without solid foundation and strategy will be getting you numbers but not the results. The Instagram Success Habit Lab teaches you not only how to get followers but what you need to have in place if you want to bring customers and make sales from your Instagram activities.

It differs from any other courses because it teaches not just about how to use Instagram but how to integrate it into your day-to-day life so you can maintain a consistent presence.

Should you consider this course?

If everyone keeps telling you that you should be on Instagram but you feel that it is another chore for your busy day then this course will help you plan and organise your Instagram activities.

If your Instagram feed looks like a family photo album where you share your cute kids’ pictures or food you ate, they may get likes but they don’t bring customers, if you want to learn how to use Instagram for business then this course is for you.

If you feel confused what to post on your Instagram feed to attract new clients then this course will show you how to plan your content and how to behave on Instagram to attract new customers.

This course is NOT about how to get 10000 followers in 30 days, it’s about how to use Instagram as a profitable business tools. If the vanity metrics are important then this course is not for you. However, in May, we will be focusing on growing your followers at least to 1000 followers.

Special offer – if you join now you will also get additional live trainings and support in the group, it will be available only for the first 100 members for the first 100 days

Janey on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip

It was oh so hot this summer when we visited the antique shops in the Cotswolds and enjoyed our road trip for Celebrity Antiques Road Trip .. but we had a fantastic time!   Tim Smith (my partner in crime on the Steve Wright Show on BBC Radio 2) were the contestants on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip broadcast at 8pm Friday 23rd November.  We had such a great time with our antiques experts, David you are SO knowledgeable, thank you for bearing with me and my hopeless choices.

I found a few lovely quirky items though and much hilarity ensured when I found a lovely old gong, and they all took the mickey out of me for waxing lyrical about gong baths!

We’re in good company for the series there’s some cool celebs taking part,  Al Murray, Anthea Turner, and the Reverend Richard Coles among them.

The BBC website says…

Radio presenters and chums Janey Lee Grace and Tim Smith take a break from Steve Wright’s Big Show on BBC Radio 2 to seek treasure amongst the Cotswolds and the Malverns, with excellent expert guidance courtesy of auctioneer James Braxton and dealer David Harper. But long before arriving at the Buckinghamshire auction, Janey’s vintage Austin Healey takes her to uncover the story of cross-dressing music hall superstar Vesta Tilley. Meanwhile sport fan Tim in a sporty MG gets to grips with the art of Shin Kicking and the ‘Cotswold Olympicks’! Expect outsider art, some strangely coloured crockery and, of course, several factoids.

It was fantastic being driven around in the classic cars, we had a moment in the Austen Healy when it sort of ‘blew’ up – the producers had a plan B….walk several miles down country lanes to the next shop (TV gold darling!) but thankfully the experience vintage car owner who was travelling with us was able to cool the radiator down and fix it. Phew!  My favourite moment was finding out about Vesta Tilley at The Swan Theatre, what a star in her time she was, cross dressing even before pantomime!

Hope you enjoy the show, must say it was great to be back in the world of telly, Strictly here I come!  Just a joke, in my dreams x

Enjoy the show!

Health and Home on Property Radio

I’m pleased to be in the line-up of presenters for the brand new radio station Property Radio, it’s the first station of its kind to cover all aspects of property but also lifestyle, it’s all about your home, your holidays and your health.  My show is called Health and Home and covers all aspects of health and wellbeing sustainability and eco living. It’s a great opportunity for me to bring you some great guests, info and tips across a whole range of topics.

You can hear Property Radio on DAB in London every Sunday in association with Fix Radio between 12 noon and 6pm, for the rest of the week you can listen via www.propertyradio.co.uk

The schedule on Sundays features:

12 – 2  Jenny and Rob Ellice

2 – 4  Janey Lee Grace

4 – 6  Sharron Livingstone

I’m thrilled that I pitched out and asked for help and it came to me in the form of the fabulous Carla O’Shaughnessy who is helping me produce and is also my eco news expert. Carla worked for many years in PR for lots of big companies including a short radio stint at Virgin Radio (we think it was just after I left!) and is loving helping to find interesting guests and sustainable news.

My other regular contributer is therapist, practitioner and emotional wellbeing expert Rosalyn Palmer, she is the author of ‘Reset! A Blueprint for a Better Life’. Rosalyn is going to be looking at a whole range of issues around our mental health and wellbeing.

We have some great guests lined up including Georgina Wilson Powell founder of Pebble Magazine, a publication dedicated to sustainability, she will be encouraging us all to recognise the ‘Small change big difference approach’. Many of our guests have remarked on the impact of The Blue Planet TV series on their work and business, it seems that it’s really hit the spot and given us all a wake-up call that we need to start taking care of our oceans.

One powerhouse of a woman making a difference is George Wyatt founder of Wyatt and Jack who reclaim plastics and fabrics from deckchairs and bouncy castles, from these she creates fabulous one off bags and accessories. One of her first big commissions was for the SAS, but that’s not the army, its Surfers Against Sewage.

We will be looking at how we best use our resources and as it’s World Toilet Day soon we are speaking with Junaid Patel from FreeFlush, who help us find ways not to waste our sparkling clean water. And onto sustainability in buildings, Val Bagnell from Apex Airspace talks about utilising airspaces to help the housing crisis, and Christian Engelke discusses the possibilities of low carbon alternatives to gas boilers.

We will look at our shopping habits too, everything from how our weekly shopping might change to become more sustainable in the future with our upcoming guest Kevin Flynn from Thoughtworks, through to Jennifer Georgeson from SoJustShop, and John Pritchard who is the founder of a sustainable eyewear brand PALA.

It wouldn’t be health and wellbeing without a look at nutrition and Louise Mercieca will give us some healthy food swaps while Claire Lyons from Frugal Family tells us how we can save money and the planet. Of course it will be difficult for me to present a show without talking about ditching the chemicals and in addition to flagging up personal care products we will definitely be looking at how you can clean your home without potentially toxic chemicals – I’m hoping to interview Andrew East from Nu-eco, an amazing range of natural non toxic biodegradable cleaning products – who doesn’t want to know exactly how do you clean the loo without scary chemicals?

Our special guest on the first show is Georgina Wilson Powell founder of Pebble Magazine, a stylish sustainable magazine.

Make sure you follow us on Twitter @propertyradio and feel free to let us know if you have a great feature idea for Health and Home on Property Radio
